RENEWAL OF TOURIST ENTERPRISE & PLEASURE CRAFT LICENCES
The Tourism Authority (TA) informs the public that as per provisions made under the Tourism Authority Act 2006 (Amended in 2008), renewal of Tourist Enterprise Licences (TELs) and Pleasure Craft Licences (PCLs), expiring on 30th June 2010 will be effected at the office of the Tourism Authority located on the 1st and 2nd Floor, Victoria House, St Louis & Barracks Streets, Port Louis as from 07th June 2010 at 09.00-14.30 on weekdays and on Saturdays 19 & 26 June 2010 at 9.00-11.00
A. Tourist Enterprise Licences (TELs)
1. Documents and fees for ALL TELs
Application form for renewal (click on link to download) RENEWAL FORM june 2010.doc (available at reception and on website of the tourism authority www.tourismauthority.mu) of each licence shall be accompanied by a fee of Rs.1000, licence fee and copy of renewed TEL 2009-2010 (grey)
2. Tourist Enterprises (if company)
- Extract of a valid Annual Return, including the first page and pages referring to updated list of directors and shareholders and certified by the Registrar of Companies. The date of the seal of the Registrar of Companies shall be less than one month from the date of the renewal of licence.
-For companies listed on the Stock Exchange Commission, the Secretary of the Company shall inform of the names of the shareholders holding more than 25% of shares.
3. Insurance policy
Insurance policy shall be valid as at date of renewal of licence and shall specify the name of the licensee, type of enterprise, address of enterprise, period of insurance and liability covered. Type of liability covered for each TEL to be submitted for renewal as indicated by*:

4. Tourist Accommodation (Hotels, Guest Houses and Tourist Residences)
Copy of Certificate/Letter of compliance of security measures from approved security companies. (Note: payment will not be accepted if such documents are not submitted
5. Hawking in front of hotels
Certificate of morality which dates not less than 6 months as from renewal date shall be submitted.

Notes:
For both TELs & PCLs
1. Licensees should call ONLY at the office of the Tourism Authority for the renewal of licences and no licences will be renewed at the Post Office counters for period 2010-2011.
2. Application for renewal fee of Rs.1000 and the respective licence fee have remained the same as for period 2009-2010.
3. If payment for renewal of licence is made after expiry of the licence but within a delay of 30 days, the Authority may renew the licence upon payment of 50 per cent in addition to the renewal fee.
4. A licence shall lapse if it is not renewed within the 30 days after the date of its expiry and a new application should be made. In case of new application, if approved, the applicant shall pay double the prescribed fee and a licence may be re-issued under any conditions that may be imposed by the Tourism Authority.
